Bill Torhorst founded William R. Torhorst & Associates in May of 1978 to deliver a full range of insurance products to his local community. His dedication to building trust and being honest with clients while helping them meet their insurance needs remains the core philosophy of Torhorst & Associates today.
Bill, who says he wakes up everyday excited to help people and does so with a big smile, specializes broadly in personal, business and life insurance. He received his degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Business.
A member of the Oregon community for more than 25 years, Bill is a member and former president of the Oregon Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife have three grown children. They love to spend time outdoors through all four seasons in Wisconsin and actively support many causes and organizations in the community.
In 1991, shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Economics, Randy began his career in the insurance and financial services industry in the home office of a securities broker. Next he moved to serving as an internal wholesaler, marketing insurance products to agents across the upper Midwest, and eventually becoming an external wholesaler. He expanded his selling group to include insurance agents, stockbrokers and bankers selling primarily life insurance and annuities products.
He transitioned into the retail side of insurance sales in 2004, with a broad focus across the insurance spectrum. He joined the team of his longtime friend and colleague Bill Torhorst in 2012. A leader and educator, Randy has taught more than 1,000 hours of continuing education classes in the insurance industry.
He lives in Stoughton with his wife, Elise, and their two boys. The family stays active and busy with high school sports and a host of outdoor activities.
Callie is the Office Manager for the Torhorst & Associates agency, where she ensures the daily operations run smoothly. Since she joined the agency in 2015, she has moved from a Licensed Insurance Agent to the Licensed Office Manager. Callie maintains accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly billing and other administrative operations. However, she remains a Licensed Insurance Agent with the State of Wisconsin, and continues to service clients and provide customer service support across the agency.
Callie has completed training as an administrative assistant as well as coursework in personal and commercial insurance that serviced as the foundation of her passing both state exams to become a licensed agent. Her approach is welcoming and friendly, always working to ensure that the needs of the agency’s clients are met.Callie lives in Stoughton with her husband, Jake and their young son, Sawyer. In her spare time Callie enjoys photography, fishing and being at the family cabin in Northern Wisconsin.
We welcomed Chad to our family in 2018! He has been an insurance agent for over six years. Chad recently joined us to be closer to his family so he is able to spend more time with them. He has lived in Oregon for 32 years and even graduated from the Oregon School District.
Previously, Chad worked in the jewelry industry for over 13 years and in doing so has lived all over the Midwest, Alaska, and even in the Caribbean. Chad thrives on making personal connections and cannot wait to speak with you! He is an independent agent who represents multiple insurance companies and looks forward to finding the best coverage for you.
Chad lives in Oregon with his wife, Jenn, and their two boys, Andrew and Austin. Jenn is a Second Grade teacher in the Oregon School District where their boys also attend school. They enjoy doing anything outdoors from riding bikes to boating to playing in the snow.
